Penguins, Pot & Other Stuff

A very entertaining performance.  The first half of the show was a rendition of "The Wall".  That’s my favorite Floyd album so, no problems there.  After a short break, they performed Animals, another classic.  Only drawback was the venue: Hamilton Convention Center.  Just rows of folding chairs surrounded by huge tables with chairs set around them.  Seemed kind of cheap really.  The music, however, more than made up for it.  Went with brother Joseph & Lady Katherine and Jason, a friend of theirs I’ve met several times.  A great night!

Fantastic game!  Went with the lovely Trish (and I must say the very very very very very very lovely Trish-is that better?).  We had great seats and surprisingly were surrounded by a lot of Montréal fans.  Had dinner at TGIF and managed to scoop a free dessert because Trish’s ribs were cold and for those of you who know Trish-well, she had to say something.  She was very polite to our cute little waitress and just before we left, our waitress brought back some free cheesecake for us to take home.  Man oh man, food & hockey-what a night!  And getting back to the hockey game, every goal was scored down at the end of the rink we were sitting at. 19 rows up and just off to the side beside the net.

Spur of the moment thing; snagged a couple of tickets to see Montréal in Buffalo tomorrow.  Go Habs Go!  I’m going with a Maple Leaf fan though; don’t know who Trish will be cheering for!

Off to the Convention Center tonight to watch another Pink Floyd cover band.  What can I say, I just can’t get enough!  Going with brother Joseph, Katherine and a yet unconfirmed fourth person.  Tricia bailed out on me today!  The nerve.

Spent the weekend at my friend Michelle’s aviary, which she runs with her friend  David.  Was introduced to a few birds, including Gonzo-a big beautiful parrot.  There are pictures of me & Gonzo you can take a look at.  Very impressive!
