Penguins, Pot & Other Stuff

Well, Christmas with all its niceties is over for another year.  Christmas Eve was spent at Sister Dianne’s and a good time was had by all.  The only downer was my friend Trish.  She was invited to come along and it was a go up until 2 PM Christmas Eve day.  You know what happened; she changed her mind and Trish decided not to come along.  Her loss!

Yesterday, Christmas day, was spent with Brother Mike and his family.  A delicious traditional turkey dinner and I even got leftovers.  Speaking of leftovers, Brother Joseph stopped by today with a truckload of food: more turkey, lasagna, all the fixings, chocolates & all kinds of sweets.  I won’t have to buy groceries for a month!

I’ve just posted a couple of new pictures.  Don’t want to say too much about them right now.  Maybe I will tell you more as time goes by.

I think my friend Charles has a death wish.  Check out the comment he made under "Christmas Time" and then take a look at Teresa’s response.  I’m glad I’m here and not were ever Charles is.

Santa’s arrival is only 10 days away.  The Aquilina family will be doing the usual Christmas Eve Day get-together at Sister Dianne’s.  Always a fun time!  I hope Santa brings me what I want!

Got hit with a session of pneumonia last week.  Spent seven days in the General Hospital recovering.  Terrible hospital, in my opinion.  Nowhere close to St. Joe’s.  Thank goodness for Paulo & Trish who tried to make the stay bearable.  At least I’m home for Christmas!

A beautiful come from behind victory!  Saku sure showed his stuff.  Unfortunately I was watching the game with only one Toronto Maple Leaf fan in the room.  Sorry Paulo.  Not really!

Had the boys and girl (just one-Trish) over for poker last night.  Trish didn’t play, she just helped straighten up before & after and played the hostess role during the game.  Tried to get her to wear a Sexy French Maid outfit but she declined the offer!

It was our usual group, minus cousin Jan.  He was stuck in Barrie; was there to work when the bad weather/freezing rain hit.  Too bad-we missed you kid!  The rest of us, went on without him-poker is poker!  Unfortunately, by the end of the night I was wishing that I was stuck up in Barrie with Jan.  I ended up losing $80.  Ouch!  And I wasn’t the big loser!  Are you wondering who the big winner was-Dundas Dickhead, yes Charles himself!  You dickhead!
