Tattoo Time for Tony

Decided it was time for tattoo #4 the other day.  Had an idea in mind that combined the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Montréal Canadiens and both my Canadian & Maltese heritages.

Took the idea to Anita, my tattoo lady at Aardvark Tattoo.  Eventually her coworker Jamie took over to try to artistically incorporate my idea.  Sure enough, she came up with a beauty!

I’ve downloaded some pictures that Jamie took during the whole process.  Very very interesting!  And of course, the finished product was simply fantastic!  If anyone out there is thinking tattoo, I highly recommend you check Anita out.  Always does a fantastic job!

Just put up (in case there are some early birds out there, am in the process of putting up) some pictures from my recent Dinner/Dance experience.  Brings back memories!

Maltese Canadian Association of Hamilton Annual Dinner/Dance

Took place on Friday, September 21.  Invited my good friends Trish, Paulo & Jeannine to come along.  The event was held at Michelangelo’s, a lovely banquet facility I must say!

As with most Maltese functions, things ran very late.  Earlier pamphlets had said that dinner would start at 7 PM Sharp!  Well, the first course made it’s appearance somewhere around 7:45 PM.  By the time we were ready for dessert, it was pushing 9 PM.  Still, very enjoyable.  Fantastic meal with some pasta, roast beef with all the fixings, salad, a seafood platter and a lovely dessert (strawberry mousse).

The DJ (Stephen, son of Godwin-one of my poker buddies) started up the music and the dancing began.  Along with the four of us, Brother Joseph & his lady Kathryn, Sister Dianne & Jim and a coworker of Jim’s-Art and his lovely wife Debbie were at our table.  A lot of dancing except from Trish-she didn’t go up for one dance!

The dessert/pastitzzi tray made an appearance around 11 PM.  I was still full from dinner but I forced one more pastitzzi into me.  Plus, a couple of dainty little desserts I couldn’t resist.  Then, home to bed!

A great evening with some great people!

Win #2.  And I wasn’t there to see it!  It was the same night as the annual Maltese Canadian Association of Hamilton annual dinner/dance.  There is another post on that.

Getting back to the game; hopefully this will start the boys on the road to respectability for the rest of the season.  Playoffs are very very unlikely.  At the risk of sounding like Toronto Maple Leaf fans, there’s always next year!

NFL Season Starts

Personally, I find the football you see in the NFL is so so.  I much prefer the Canadian brand.  However, the one area where the NFL has its hands down is the pools that it generates.

I’m a big pool fan; any sport.  Surprisingly both Brother Joseph & Brother Mike are not big into the pools.  I’m in so many this year it’s tough to keep count.  Some fellow poolsters: Trish, Lorne, Dickhead, Herb, Andrew & Paulo.  Good luck to all!

I don’t use (very often) the language that is necessary to describe this game.  This was one of those games that actually hurt to sit through.  Even the weather was a problem-too hot!  At least the weather helped to make the girls look prettier.

Newsflash: Tiger Cats to sign Printers.  Hopefully this is true; will help immensely!  Playoffs this year?  Doubtful but you never know.
