Poker Night in Canada

Told you!  We had our first game earlier this month.  This time there were six of us; Cousin Jan could make it.  For once I didn’t lose any money.  No, I wasn’t the big winner, only won $20.  Dickhead took home the most: $150.  I sure hope his lovely wife & daughter both got their fair share.

It’s getting harder and harder to get our usual full table together.  Family commitments, coaching hockey, going to Malta-those boys sure have some lame excuses!  Tony C is off to Malta in a week or so.  Cousin Jan was unavailable until January 25 (Happy Birthday Dad).  Unfortunately, Dickhead is always available.  If I’m lucky, the next game will happen when he can’t make it!

  1. Thank you Tony for hosting the game, as always it was fun. How could I not be the big winner that night, wearing my lucky shirt
(a Christmas present from Liz) and my lucky tie (a Christmas present from Tony). Heres a question: how come I spend $20-$30 on your present and you send my wife to a dollar store to choose the nicest piece of clothing 100 pennies will buy? By the way you still owe Liz that dollar! Lucky for me she ran into my personal tailor, Dollarama Donald. Oh well, as they say its better to give than receive.
See you next game. I’ll do my best to keep my social calendar clear.

  2. Well, let’s see. You spend thirty dollars on me and I spend one on you-at least Liz does for me. What a ripoff; you should at least triple your amount. And anyway, four 6s-you deserve it.
