Birthday Dinner at The Keg & Then a New Couch

Well, today is the day.  55 years old!  Hope I can make it for another 55.  It’s becoming a tradition-took Trish, Paulo, Jeannine & Kaleb to The Keg for dinner.  Funny, my birthday but guess who paid?  You’re right: the birthday boy.  No problem!

I had mushroom caps stuffed with escargot, salad & ribs.  Garlic mashed potatoes of course!  Dessert was a lovely crème brûlée!  Fortunately, that was on the house.  Paulo had a zesty salmon steak while Jeannine & Trish each had steak.  Kaleb was more than happy with his chicken fingers!  A delicious evening with good friends.

To top it off, my new couch was delivered today.  Decided it was time to get something a little more comfortable for my guests to park their asses on.  It’s a pullout sofa bed just in case any of my frequent visitors need a place to lay their head!  Kaleb was kind enough to demonstrate the comfiness of my couch by posing for a picture.  Check it out!

  1. Happy birthday Tony. Sounds like you had a great day and very well deserved. The couch looks great as of course does Kaleb. After all these years of dining with you and wondering when its your turn to pay, the secret has finally been revealed. You treat on your birthday, no wonder you’re always busy when I suggest we go for lunch on April 25. By the way April 25 and 26 are 2 of my favourite days of the year. For that brief but enjoyable time you are 2 days older than me.
Well here is to another wonderful year of poker games, rollerblading, sports pools and friendship.

  2. Dickhead, how can I argue with you on that? Yes, the birthday was a very good one this year. Lunch with the old work crew (Liz, Lesia, Mary Lou), presents, new furniture & chocolate cake with the 20 Jarvis gang & Morgan.

Yes, for a couple of days I am really your senior! Even with that though, I get no respect. Let’s see what the next year brings. Maybe, another championship for les Canadiens!

  4. Yes Mary Lou, eating was high on the agenda. Along with that, good friends made for a great day & weekend. It was nice to get together with you and the rest of the ladies to enjoy that delicious Indian food. We’ll have two do it again next year!
