Christmas Is Just Around the Corner
Yes, except for the weather, one of my favorite times of the year. Family, friends, good food & a general sense of "niceness" is in the air. Looking forward to the family get-together at Sister Dianne’s on Christmas Eve night. We get to open our presents at midnight! Then, Christmas dinner with Brother Mike and his family.
Also looking forward to the annual poker game with the boys during that week between Christmas & New Year’s. I’ll have to make sure there are plenty of pastitzi to go a round. Man, those guys can eat! 19 more days to go till the big day. Well worth the wait!
The pastitzis are great Tony, almost as good as gefilte fish. If it seems like we eat a lot its just that after playing poker for years at your place without being offered so much as a crumb we are stunned and even flabbergasted and just start eating fast before you say No More Pastitzi For You!

Spoken like an old man bringing soup back at a deli. And about what’s offered when we get together at my place for poker; the mere honor of me letting you in is enough. Anyway, every time I offered munchies they were turned down. And another thing, didn’t I offer French maid Vicky?

Hey you’re back baby (I know I’m using your baby) and its about time. We missed you. And no comment on Vicky except that the day of that game was my birthday and I thought finally the man gets me a present. But once again I was wrong.
