I Said I Never Would-But I Did!

I find them very annoying.  They take away from one’s privacy & quiet time.  They always seem to interfere at the worst possible times.  Cell phones!  Said I would never buy one.  I did-this week.  Figured that after running out of gas while bringing the pontoon boat back home, it would be a good idea.  To be honest, it was on my list of things to do.  Now it’s done.

Let’s see how long I can hold out with the new promise I have made to myself.  I’ll be using the cell phone Strictly for Emergencies.  Won’t be calling for any old reason.  The plan I have gives me 50 anytime minutes.  It might be anytime for Virgin Mobile but it will be emergency time for me!

  1. Congrats on entering the 21st century, its about time. Hey, we should exchange numbers and then even when we’re both out we could still be gabbing, how cool would that be.
Two questions for Cousin Jan. Last Sunday I had the privilege of attending Kaleb’s birthday party. Tony told me he gave him cash, to which I replied What are you, his uncle. Here is the question. When Kramer said that to Jerry, how much money had he given Elaine for her birthday? Second question and your memory may be better than mine. At Tony’s poker game last Friday he was the big winner. Can you remember the last time, if ever, that happened? Does it not seem too coincidental that it finally happened on the same day he puts in all his spy cameras?

  2. As I said in my post Dickhead, I only get 50 minutes each month. One conversation with you and it’s gone! About the uncle giving money question, I knew the answer even before we discussed it. And about my big night of poker winning, you ain’t seen nothing yet baby!

  3. But think of the enjoyment you would receive from that one phone call. You may have known the answer to my Seinfeld question but does Cousin Jan. As for poker, the rest of us have to rely on our skill. If you need your nefarious methods so be it.

  4. If you keep it turned off you don’t have to worry about Charles calling you and using up your minutes. But if you really only use it for emergencies, you might resent paying for those 50 minutes and not using them, so I can see you using it more than just that. You’ll have to report back to us in 3 months, OK?

  5. Janet, my mind is made up. Emergencies only! Won’t bother me a bit if I only use a portion of my 50 minutes. And Dickhead, I have a boat to pay for. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention (or, observation)!
